A newly launched apparel company commissioned me to create an illustration for a hoodie. The brief requested designs inspired by traditional Asian tattoo motifs, with an added constraint due to embroidery: the number of threads and colors had to be limited. I developed four themed illustrations—Koi Fish, Skull, Buddha, and Samurai—using a refined palette of black, grey, and gold to ensure both visual impact and practicality for embroidery.
