The online solutions Motoinsight provides to Genesis are largely divided into two experiences. One is for buyers or shoppers and the other is for dealers. Buyers/Shoppers become familiar with a vehicle they are interested in through the Build and Price process, and when they create an account after setting up the nearest dealership, a dashboard is created that stores items of their interest or enables the car buying process. When the buyer's dashboard is created, a new order is also added to the dealership's dashboard, and the designated dealer is connected through the platform according to the buyer's information. The ultimate goal of this service is not only to buy or sell a car but to generate leads to attract potential customers. This solution goes beyond the traditional way through direct store visits and enables active interaction between buyers and sellers through online platforms.

Motoinsight improves the Genesis online platform experience by creating a roadmap each year in line with the budget and prioritizing further development and supplementation of current solutions. My job is to create and provide effective UIUX in collaboration with the project team.

Book Service Appointment

Objective

The purpose of this feature is to allow customers to book a service appointment for the vehicle through the G@H portal. This means that more aspects of their car ownership are contained within one area and will be easier to manage.

Summary

This feature will allow customers to use the G@H portal to book/schedule servicing appointments at their desired location. A customer will submit a service appointment request in G@H which will be forwarded to the relevant parties within Genesis Canada, allowing Genesis to then book an appointment time and reach out to the customer for confirmation.

This widget would also be added to external (agency) sites just like the Test Drive.

Trim Selection Banner

Problem:

Genesis would like to display incentive information about specific vehicles to draw customer attention to those vehicles. Currently they are displaying incentive information using the hero banner - by adding incentive details to the image. Changing these images on a monthly basis uses development resources that could be better allocated elsewhere, we are trying to determine a more effective way of displaying incentives that can also be changed more easily.

Requirement:

Genesis would like to include the incentives for the models on the trim selection page so it’s easily seen by the customers building the vehicle. The initial requirement was to put the incentive rates on the background images (carousel) of the trim selection page but that would obstruct the image view.

Solution:

  • A banner is included on the top to display the incentives for the vehicle.

  • The vehicle trim cards are condensed with only select information to display while providing “See more”/”view more” to see the full list of trim feature details.

  • The selected trim card would display the select check mark with the focus of the border
